World Championship of Sand Sculpting
Harrison Hot Springs, British Columbia

We head to Harrison Hot Springs, British Columbia for the World Championships of Sand Castles this month. This three day event extends beyond the traditional castle into the worlds of dreams, fantasies, and mythology.  Talented artists create anything that they can imagine with details that boggle the mind.

This beach spot in the Pacific Northwest does not experience tides allowing designers to work without fear of seeing their creations washed out to sea.  Participants can compete alone, as a duo, or in a team of 5 or 6 but they must qualify at region events before making it to the championships.  Each has only 25 hours over 3 days to complete their work of art.  Give it a google search and find a ton of inspiration!

This kit combines the soft colors and bold patterns of Sassafras Lass' cool Indie Girl line.  We chose 6 double sided patterned papers and love them all!

To begin embellishing, we grabbed the coordinating border stickers and flower stickers.  We also included a basic black alphabet from BasicGrey.  You will use it for everything!  To finish out, we chose Vintage Buttons from Jenni Bowlin Studio and fun metal bling flowers from Making Memories.

This kit is so yummy and all for only $15.  Grab your kit and get to scrapping!
