Color

Take the basic black of the little black dress and dress it up with your own twist.  Will you pair it with the white of pearls, the blue of denium, or the bright colors of the most beautiful jewels?

Theme

Indulgence.  Rodeo celebrates the ultimate in pampering and spoiling yourself.  Maybe you are not up for $50 socks, but you do need a little something special.  Share your indulgences with us.

Techniques

This month we celebrate 2 techniques found abundantly along Rodeo Drive--stitching and jewels.  Grab your machine and stitch your page or head to the bead aisle of the hobby store for some sparkling gems.  Either one will make your pages the best dressed.

Rodeo Drive

Rodeo drive is only 3 blocks long, but is a stretch of the most expensive shops and boutiques in the world and the most famous shopping area in America.  Most women have had the Pretty Woman shopping spree fantasy at least once, even though most will never have the opportunity to even see the pure indulgence of this street.  It is where the rich and famous buy from the celebrated designers.  The most expensive store?  Bijan which sees clients only by appointment.  Average total in Bijan exceeds $100,000 and the least expensive item for sale are socks for $50 per pair.  But what is the number one item women seek on Rodeo drive?  Here is a hint:

You guessed it--the little black dress.  Every woman wears it a bit differently making it their own.  Do you pair yours with pearls or with denim?  With diamonds or striped tights?  With florescent or with flounces?  Dress it up or dress it down, but the fact remains black never goes out of style.

Join us as we celebrate Rodeo Drive and are inspired by it's indulgence and pay tribute to it's basic black foundation.
