Color

This month we draw them right from the kids.  Grab the bold pinks, soft blues, lively greens that color our kids worlds and scrap with them.

Theme

This month is all about FUN!  Show us how your family has fun, what you do for enjoyment, and how much fun you can have just scrapping and chatting online.

Technique

Pinning!  All employees at Disney play a game with collectable pins--they will trade any pin they have for anyone you have.  Grab your straight pins, safety pins, decorative pins--any old kind and lets get pinning!

Card

Happy birthday cards made with a kid in mind or Halloween cards that show off your silly or scary sides.  Let loose and enjoy!

Altered item

Grab a box and make yourself a little toy chest all of your own.  What will you put in it?  Whatever strikes your fancy!

Main Street Kit

This kit is sure to tickle the kid inside!  We combined 5 sheets of Tickled Pink by 3bugs in a rug with 5 sheets of Piggy Tales Frog Prince papers.  Add to that the Piggy tales tags, Queen & Co.'s brand new love letters, 2 mini clipboards, 4 fun ribbons and a three metal flowers and you have a fabulously fun kit.  All for only $15!

 Main Street, Disney World

Grab your inner child and get her ready to scrap like a kid again.  This month we head back in time into a place that Walt Disney described as, "For those of us who remember the carefree time it recreates, Main Street will bring back happy memories. For younger visitors, it is an adventure in turning back the calendar to the days of their grandfather's youth."  Disney created the Main Street keeping in mind the small town of his youth and lived in an apartment above the firehouse which is still fully furnished but off-limits to the public. A lamp is kept burning in the front window as a tribute to his memory.

Main Street extends from the entrance of the park to Cinderella's Castle with a horse drawn trolley running right down the center of the street.  Along both sides are shops, restaurants, and all of the fictional offices you would expect to find on a main street.  The windows of these false locations are actually tributes to some of the original and dedicated employees whose names are now immortalized as doctors, dentists, and grocers.

The buildings themselves are works of art, painted in fun colors and shaped with an eye toward nostalgia and a perspective to make them appear larger than they are to visitors.  Most importantly, Main Street sets the tone for your visit to Disney World.  It is a happy place filled with fantasy, wonder, color, and light.  As we spend the month wandering around Disney, lets remember to enjoy our scrapping and to live like a kid again.

Get ready for a fun filled month of scrapping as we head down Main Street, Disney World!

I am a 30 year old SAHM with 2 beautiful children  who are the main inspiration for my layouts. I have been married for 6 years to my high school sweetheart & love of my life, Ken. We live in the Metro Detroit area with our 2 dogs, cat and many fish. I have been collecting memorabilia and taking TONS of photos for a good portion of my life but have been scrapbooking for the past 6+ years. Before scrapbooking, I was hopping from hobby to hobby and driving my DH crazy in the process. I went to a CM demonstration and I was hooked from the beginning! Once my DH saw that I had found my calling he would constantly surprise me with scrapping goodies...what an incentive! I love creating beautiful pages- my scrapping style is generally simple with some shabbiness thrown in there. To me scrapbooking is a great form of therapy and I try to do something scrap related everyday! About 3 years ago, I found my love for rubberstamping and cardmaking - nothing is better than giving/receiving handmade cards!
