Pixels By Jen
Meet Jen our featured designer this month! Jen is known in digital land as Pixels By Jen and she sells her lovely creations
exclusively at Gingerscraps. Jen tells us that she started paper scrapbooking and making greeting cards about 8 years ago when her eldest was born. In 2009
Jen found digi scrapping and even though she has dabbled in hybrid, she has never really gone back to paper.
Jen started designing because she loves to be challenged and explore new techniques. Through this, Jen discovered that she loves
to doodle! After a contest and a brief tour on the GingerScraps CT team, Jen was accepted as a designer at GingerScraps in Sept 2010. Since then, she has been
slowly discovering her scrapbook and design style and couldn't be happier with her digital "home".
Jen uses Adobe PSCS5, ArtRage, Adobe Illustrator, Bamboo Fun tablet and lots of coffee! Finding inspiration for her kits
from the pictures she takes of her family's adventures, Jen also LOVES color and has recently discovered how easy it is to be inspired with Pinterest. Jen sets about designing by
starting with a pencil and paper sketchbook for her ideas and doodles, which she then redraws in Illustrator. Next she designs her papers and then returns to color in
her doodles and creates the rest of her elements, usually done at night after everyone goes to bed.
We hope you enjoy reading about Jen and her cute products and take a peek at her website and store. We would like to say
a big thank you to Jen for kindly creating the fun and cheery kit Bring Me A Rainbow kit as our free kit for March and wish her great success.
