When you hear “scrapbooking” and “canvas” in the same sentence, most people think of what we call “scrapbooking on the wall.” Or in other terms, a canvas project that we create to hang on a wall that uses our scrapbooking supplies. But we can use canvas in many ways on our projects! It’s trendy, it’s fun and it’s easily altered to go with any layout or project. It can give your layout a soft look or an artsy look. You can stamp on it, paint on it, spray ink on it, sew it, or embellish it! Really, it is one of those amazing products that will work with any style and any project.
On my “She’s a Helper” layout I added a diamond shaped piece of canvas. I stamped on it and then used it as a design element on my page. I just layered it right in there with everything else. And Pooi’s amazing “Life Is” layout uses a piece of canvas for the background. It came with the printed words on it, but you could easily do that yourself. And then Pooi sprayed ink on it, creating an artsy and fun look for her layout. And Rebecca created banner pieces out of canvas on her creative “2gether” layout.

That brown scallop border is actually that bottom part of a paper from My
Mind’s Eye. Usually one cuts it off and throws it away, but I
used it on my page! I just covered the part that had their name
and logo on it.
