Pet Park

  Michelle Boeckermann

There’s no doubt about it, fish will always be something wonderful for kids to watch. The mystery of them in the water and not being able to actually touch them makes them irresistible. From the lake or sea to a bowl or tank, fish are natural delights to admire and enjoy. The bright colors of some of our water friends lends to an assortment of scrapping possibilities, each showcasing moods that go along with the fishy situations. Katey does a wonderful job of implementing circles into her design that mimic bubbles and ties the whole fun spirited layout together. Lindsey , bless her heart, scraps the cold and slimy in great fashion, and Dora’s son Zack is being remembered for his love of his little fishy. All ranges of loves for fish as pets or just wild animals were abundant for this fishy call.

Join us next month when we are taking a looksee at some adorable pets in Halloween costumes! And get your a picture and scrap away your pet enjoying their favorite treat for our November Call. See ya at the Park!

Journaling: (Title) A face only a catfish could love.

Design Notes: I made the best of a tough lighting situation of the fish tank by using dark, distressed paper to compliment the awkward lighting in the photos. Since catfish here seems kind of cold and slimy to me anyway, I left him dark with cold colors surrounding him.

Fish Face by Lindsey Krauss. Supplies: Digital kit: Malibu by Tisha McCuiston for Scrapncircle, Fonts: 2Peas.

Journaling: Do you think there is life out there?

Design Notes: How often have I wondered if there is life outside of our universe? Who's to say that goldfish don't wonder the same thing?

Our Universe by Katey Green.  Supplies: Digital kit Painted Summer by Handmaid Designs from the Scrapstreet Collection at Scrapstreet. Thanks to Atomic Cupcake actions and A Zabawski's photograph. Font is Acoustic bass.

Journaling: Little feet pad down the hall. Small hands grasp a stool tight setting it carefully at the base of the buffet. One foot, two foot, reach and pull. One knee, two knees, balance and crawl. Reach out and spin, searching. Lean in and take a closer look. Finally, there is your fishie. Give him a little kiss.

Somethin’ Fishie by Dora Phillips.  Supplies: Paper: Arctic Frog, Chipboard: Heidi Swapp,  Stickers:  Making Memories, Other: buttons.
