Lifting Lane

  Janice Badger

Welcome to Lift Lane, where we showcase the talents of our community, with creations they made for Saturday Night Scrap. Our first layout, by Katey Green, utilizes the design right triangle. All of the design elements fall within the lines of a right triangle located on the bottom right corner of her layout, leaving empty (or “white”) space along the rest. It really draws your attention right to the focal photograph.

Designer notes: I overlaid the circular frame with a different paper to keep the color lilac theme and used Atomic Cupcake's ink edge action for the photo mats. I stacked the photo for added dimension.

Flower Fairy by Katey Green. Supplies: Digital kit: Quincy Garden Club by Amanda Thorderson, Action: Ink Edge Action from Atomic Cupcake, Photo courtesy of Mary R Vogt.

Journaling: Larkspur, Steamboat Lake, July 2007

Aspect of the layout that inspired you: I loved all the open space and the triple stacked photo. It really drew the eye to the photo and made a powerful statement.

Larkspur by Shawn Walter. Supplies: Aunt Dorie’s Doo-Dads by Glenda Ketcham, Fabric Action by Atomic Cupcake, Eyecandy Bevel Boss, Font: Springtime.

Editor Note: The neutral background really makes the colors in Lucy’s shapes and embellishments pop!

Our Princess by Lucy Chesna. Supplies: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper, Patterned Paper, Crystals and Chipboard: Prima, Other: ink.
