The Showroom

 Dora Phillips

Are you a paper addict?  I am!  I know that I should only buy paper that has a purpose with photos all ready for it, but what fun would that be?  I cannot resist beautiful patterns, colors, textures--I admit it: I am hooked.  When I received a preview link of one of the newest paper companies to hit the scrapping world--Paper Trunk--I fell in love.  The colors are rich and luscious, the patterns have great variety and are easy to work with, and the matching solids on the backside are always a plus with me.  Have you peeked at Paper Trunk yet?

Designer Note: The coordinating solid colors on the backside of these papers make scrapping easy and the layouts come quickly. I chose to cut out the circles to use as enhancement and makeshift embellishments that look perfectly coordinated.

Cowboy today Indian tomorrow by Michelle Boeckermann. Supplies: Paper: PaperTrunk batik line, Rub-ons: Basic Grey, Cosmo Cricket, Other: Miscellaneous buttons, ribbon.

Journaling: Ashlee, you had the best first day! You just love Mrs. Puckett and all of your friends! Designers Notes: On the first day of school…my daughter really wasn’t in the picture mood, so I had to work with what I did get. I decided to take 1 large photo and overlap it with some smaller candid shots.

First Day ‘07 by Jennifer Wuthrich.  Supplies: Paper, flower shapes, and circle shapes: Paper trunk, Cricut: George Cartridge (for letters),  Ribbon: Queen and company, Gem: Hobby Lobby, Other: chipboard arrow (covered in paper trunk paper).

Editor’s note: Di shows us a great example of mixing and matching patterns here. The lines of background paper make a perfect backdrop for the circles that are the main focal point of the card.

Thank you Card by Di Hickman.  Supplies: Paper: Paper Trunk, Sticker: Die Cuts with a View.

Design Note:  I love the colors blue and brown together.  They just create such a natural color palette to work with.  The designers at Paper Trunk chose beautiful shades to create these papers.

Happy Girls by Dora Phillips.  Supplies:  Paper:  Paper Trunk, Label:  Dymo, Chipboard:  Heidi Swapp, Tags:  My Mind's Eye.
