So, do you see my point? ALWAYS have a plan. Going to the scrapbook store without one is like going to the grocery store when you are hungry - it’s just not a good idea! You should shop with your pictures in hand and a general plan in mind. Having a sketch will also make that planning process easier and will save you a lot of time and money! It will also keep that truckload of scrapbooking supplies you are collecting down to a manageable size and you won’t have to put an addition on to your house to store everything.

Journaling:
It's your first day at Pre-School! You were so excited to start- "Everything is just my size!" you kept saying. You were a very brave boy when we were going to leave. All that you said was, "I'll miss you guys SO much!" No tears from YOU, but Daddy and I felt very sad. I thought I needed a break. Having you at school gave me more free time at home to get my work done, but reality hit me this morning. You were growing up so fast. You were not a baby anymore. You didn't need us like you did. You were becoming an independent little man. Ahhh...another bittersweet milestone.

Journaling:
Gavin, you are just way to sweet! and you are growing up way to fast! I just
adore you!
Design
notes:
I wanted to use one strong photo but also keep the outline of the
sketch...solution: I blocked pattern paper
to form the shape of the picture in the
sketch. |
