Well, I did it again! I went to my local scrapbooking store and spent way too much money on a bunch of things that I really didn’t need! Familiar story?
The problem came when my favorite scrap store had gotten in all of the new lines of BasicGrey. They were just too pretty, too new, and I had to have them. ALL of them. I had no idea what I was going to create, didn’t even have pictures in mind, so I bought a little of this, little of that, blues, greens, yellows, buttons, ribbons, and chipboard, just to cover all of the design possibilities! Oh, don’t forget about the Stickles, flowers, and rub-ons too!
Here is a sketch from our Dinant, Belgium crop weekend and a few of the wonderful layouts and cards created from it. Check the calendar for more of our monthly crops, and our weekly Saturday Night Scrap for a bit more inspiration and fun.

Editor’s
Note:
This sketch was inspired by a
photograph of a scene from Dinant, Belgium,
ScrapStreet’s destination for August. The
beautiful countryside is what I tried to
portray in this - the houses, Cathedral,
cliffs and the Citadel at the top.

Journaling:
We can’t get enough! Here we are on a day off SCRAPPING! We love it-love it-
love it! What else would we rather be doing?
Editor’s
Note:
Lisa anchored all of those bright, busy patterns with black cardstock. This
really makes everything on the page POP,
especially those cute pictures of the It’s
About Time girls (the owners of my favorite
store, where I spend WAY too much money!).

August, 2007. Keuka Lake. Your favorite thing of all things camping was
playing at the beach!
Designer's
Notes:
To create the plaid flower, I first added the flower to the layout. Then I
laid patterned paper over it, turned that
layer invisible, magnetically traced the
inside of the flower, selected inverse,
turned the paper layer back on, and cut.
This left just patterned paper in the
flower. Since I wanted a little bit of a
rough color inside, I left some of the blue
and green peeking through.
