Card Corner

 Di Hickman

Welcome to Card Corner in June! Did you know that June is the most popular month for weddings? We thought for this month we'd feature cards and invitations surrounding the event.

One of the first decisions the couple must make in planning a wedding is deciding on the date, place, time of their wedding so they can include all the details in their invitation. Plus the Bride-to-be will need a Bridal shower. No wedding can take place without a bridal shower before hand.  Like us girls need an excuse for a party! So we'd like to share with you some invitations. From a formal church wedding to a Bridal shower. Handmade invitations speak volumes to the love and care you intend to show your guests.  Its a special day and it deserves that extra special touch.

Designer Notes: I typed the text in a word processing program and printed it onto pre-made invitations. The invites come with matching band and circle tags which makes co-ordinating everything a breeze!

Wedding invitation by Di Hickman.   Supplies:  Invites: one heart... one mind, Rub-ons: one heart... one mind, Ink: Around the Block.

Designer Notes:

What I loved about this project was the fold out invitation. Such a great idea to hold all the guest information (such as the RSVP, directions, gift registry) in a pocket.

Wedding invitation by Diana Burton.   Supplies:  Cardstock: Bazzill, Die Cuts With A View, Wedding Dress & Rose graphic: clip art in Microsoft Picture It, Vellum: Bazzill Eyelets: Bazzill Address labels: Avery, Other: ribbon.

Designer Notes: I was drawn to the big folded flower and bling on this card! Definitely screams Bridal shower with the pink and girly accents!

Bridal Shower Invitation by Robin Blankenship.   Supplies:  Patterned Paper: Scribble Scrabble; Flower: Heidi Swapp; Stamp: Carolee's Creations; Ink: Ranger, Other: Gems.
