Flip Flop Album

by Christa Parker

FUN IN THE SUN... You and your friends will "flip" for this easy and fun project. It surely won't be a "flop" as you enjoy creating your own "FLIP - FLOP ALBUM"

STEP 1:  Remove straps from both flip flops. You will only be using 1 strap for the top flip flop. (so your bottom album will lay flat) Set right flip flop and strap aside.

STEP 2: Trace left flip flop onto a piece of scrap cardstock for template. Cut out. Using flip flop template, trace on colored cardstock. Use the same template for your patterned paper. (when cutting out patterned paper, cut just inside the pencil lines. This is so your colored cardstock will show around like a boarder.) Do this for both flip flops. Remembering to flip your template. Run the paper flip flops through your xyron machine to sticker. (I found stickering the paper works better then glue) The cut out cardstock and patterned paper for the top flip flop, mark and punch holes for strap.

STEP 3:   Embellish top flip flop cut outs and add strap. (This is the top of your album).

STEP 4:   Fold cardstock to make accordion fold. Trace template. If you used 12x12 cardstock, you can get 3 flip flop pages. When tracing, move the flip flop template to the fold of the paper. Do not cut all the way around. This will give you your pages. Do this step as many as you want pages for your album.

STEP 5:   Decorate pages and add pictures. Run page 1 & 2 through xyron machine and sticker top back side. Adhere to bottom left flip flop. (the one with the strap).  Sticker page 3 & 4 and adhere to back of page 2. Do this until you are done with pages. (I only did 4 pages.) When stickering pages 3&4, I opened the pages up and ran through xryon machine to sticker both sides. Adhere page 4 to top right flip flop. (This is the bottom of your album) Cover the back flip flop with already cut out cardstock and pattern paper (from step 1).

STEP 6: Tie ribbon and fiber onto strap of flip flop. Adhere ribbon (using xyron machine) to the sides of each flip flop.  And there you go... An Altered Flop Flop Album I hope you enjoyed this class as much as I have.
