 Michelle McClung

According to the Hallmark Company’s research, Christmas is the #1 card-giving holiday, with approximately 1.9 billion cards being sent each season. Valentine’s Day came in second, with a mere 192 million. That’s a lot of cards and some very busy mailmen!

Editor’s Note: The angle of the paper makes this sketch very interesting. Your eye travels from the group of embellishments in the left corner, up to the sentiment, to the single large embellishment in the right corner.

Card Sketch #2 by Di Hickman.

Design notes: To make the angled piece for this, I just cut a straight strip of patterned paper, placed it on my page at an angle, and trimmed the edges before adhering it to the cardstock.

Let it Snow by Michelle McClung. Supplies: Cardstock: Bazzill, Paper: BasicGrey, Snow Flake Embellishments: K& Co., Ink: Colorbox.

Design notes: The stitching look was done with a Zig pen.

Noel by Libby MacNeilly. Supplies: Cardstock: Rusty Pickle, Bazzill, Paper, Buttons: Rusty Pickle, Die Cut: Quickutz, Floss: DMC, Pen: Zig, Other: Ink.
