As the cold weather starts to set in, I start moving my summer clothes to the back of the closet and my winter clothes to the front. It’s hard to believe that we are already entering the winter months again!
Living in the Rocky Mountains, this time of the year is beautiful! We have picturesque views of the snow capped mountains accompanied with fresh mountain air. If that is not enough, the season offers many opportunities for some good old time family fun in the great outdoors. Some of our favorite things to do as a family during this time of the year are: making snowmen, making snow forts, skiing, ice skating, sledding and of course who could ever resist a good snow ball fight!

I loved the pattern of the snake in the picture and wanted to capture it. Felt seemed like the perfect medium to get the right colors, texture, and feel for the page.

Allie came home from school with her
recorder for the first time today. About 15
minutes later, I sent her outside to save my
sanity. A little imagination and a little
brother and music practice turned into a
charming playtime.
