Santa

 Lindsey Krauss

Remember when we were little, looking forward to the days when Santa comes? Remember when we considered pulling the "Santa's watching you card" in July? Remember when we were grandparents and stealing a little Santa kiss was our own special Christmas treat? It's true - Christmas is the holiday for all ages. To say there is something for everyone is an understatement. Pure joy, whether you're dressed in your first Christmas bib or in your favorite Christmas apron, is heartfelt at any age. Reflections continue through this time of year, every year; a lifetime of Christmas memories is still never enough.

Design note:  I used a beautiful piece of fabric that I had had for years on this layout--I simply Xyroned the fabric onto a piece of white cardstock, cut it out with my craft knife, and placed it onto the layout.

I saw Grandma kissing Santa Claus by Kary Lewis. Supplies: Paper, Chipboard: Basic Grey, Cardstock: Bazzill, Fabric: Daisy Kingdom, Embellishments: Sandylion.

Journaling:  "The year before Mom passed away, we spent Christmas in Oregon with the family.  Dan dressed up as Santa Claus to surprise the kids-only they weren't the only one surprised when "Santa" got a big smooch from his biggest fan...his Mom!!! This picture is bittersweet to us...one of the last ones we have of Mom."

Editor's note: With stickles all the rage, don't forget to pull them out when altering! Notice the perfect accents on Jenna's frame - lining the inside and out with green Stickles. Go for it - add a little glitter to your next project for the perfect finishing tough.

Santa Frame by Jenna Franklin. Supplies: Paper: American Crafts, $1 Frame: Michael's, Ribbon: American Crafts, Green Stickles: Ranger, Paint: Plaid, Mod Podge: Plaid, Holly leaves and berry brads: Making Memories, Chipboard letter stickers: American Crafts, Epoxy tax: Making Memories, Vinyl tag: American Crafts.

Design note: I was going through a box and found this picture. It was taken just about a week or so before my son's heart transplant. I loved the font of the Basic Grey letters but the colors didn't match so I used Dew Drops ink in Java to ink over the pattern/color of the original letters. Then I used my white sharpie to add a little extra to the plain letters. I carried the dots up to the chipboard brackets that I had painted with Making Memories paint.

Santa by Amber Curtis. Supplies: Paper, letters: Basic Grey, Ink: DewDrops Java, Chipboard: Plain Jane, Paint: Making Memories, Pen: Sharpie white pen, other: ribbon, flowers and button.
