Going Places

 Dora Phillips

Each month, ScrapStreet travels to a new street taking inspiration from that particular location.  We learn a bit about our stop and try to infuse that knowledge and attitude in our creations.  The five monthly challenges encourage us to shake up our scrapping, trying new techniques, themes, and altered items as well as cards and color combinations.  Travel along with us as we spend December enjoying:

The North Pole

We bundle up and take our scrapping to the top of the globe to the North Pole.   Learn about the history of Santa and his move north as well as some fun facts about this chilly spot.  Come let the North Pole inspire your scrapping.

The Challenges

Color

Take a little burgundy, some pine green, a dash of gold, a smattering of cream. And add in anything that glitters and shines and you have our colors this month.

Card

'Tis the season! Holiday cards for everyone on your list. Do you do a photo card? Paper cards? Both? Grab your supplies and dig in. Don't be afraid to make extra--there is always next year!

Theme

It's the little things. We all know that so many little details go into our holiday celebrations--the cherished ornaments, the traditional stocking stuffer, the classic cartoons. Make a plan to capture more than the usual this holiday season. Take the time to jot down 5 of your favorite things about the holidays and be sure to take some pictures so when the madness is over you can make those pages.

Technique

Go clear! On your pages, under your pages, anyway you wish, but add a little something see-thru to your scrapping.

Altered item

Take clear to a new level--grab a picture frame and make a layout right on that clear glass. Have fun layering items behind and on top of your smooth surface.
