Happy Holidays!  Are you loving the spirit of the season?  I am.  That extra "have a great holiday" wish from friends and strangers alike always makes me smile.  It is like it is the one time of year that we know just the right pleasantry to exchange.

What else do you love about the season?  The lights?  The decorations?  The cookies?  The shopping energy?  I am quite certain that each and every one of us has a different favorite aspect of the season.  And I am willing to bet that bunches of you--like me--have not scrapped those faves yet.  When I peek back through my books I find that I scrap the same things each year--the present opening, the cookie baking, the tree trimming--and those pages are lovely, but there is so much more!

This year I am making a list and checking it twice.  Yep, taking a page from Santa's book and picking 5 favorite items to scrap.  What are they?  Have a look:

1.  Pile of Christmas cards with crisp white envelopes and colorful stamps sent by snail mail from all over.

2.  The cats attacking the tree unable to resist the pretty lights and shiny balls.

3.  My daughter making hot chocolate with her special candy cane stirrer.

4.  My collection of cookie cutters all shiny and ready for duty and my son as he lines them up on the table in true five year old boy fashion.

5.  My husband as he attempts to build whatever item "needs some assembly" without reading the directions.  The look on his face is worth capturing--I promise.

I am certain to find many more shots along the way, but I like having a plan as I head into the joy that is the season.  Will you join me?

                               Have a happy holiday season,
