Happy December!! December is such a busy, busy month…lots of extra things to do and places to go. Just seems like there aren’t enough days in the month to get it all done. But even though everyone is busy, I sure hope you find some time to spend on the Streets. The holidays just wouldn’t be the same without visits from all our scrapstreet gals.

Let’s take a quick look back and see what happened in November:

Since December IS so busy…we decided to combine our November and December weekend crop into one big HOLIDAY crop. I was sooo excited about it…but then didn’t do ANYTHING!...not ONE single project. That’s just how it goes sometimes. But even if you don’t get to play…it’s still fun to check out the challenges and be inspired by what everyone else does with them. You never know when you might find an idea to tuck away for later. Brianne and Meesh both won prizes at our Holiday Crop and Lisa was our big winner. Congrats, girls!! Hope everyone gets some scrappy mojo in their stockings this Christmas and is all ready to play again at our January crop.

January seem way too far away? Well don’t worry. We still have our Saturday nite scrap sessions to keep you busy on those cold December nights. Stop by and play with us!

Did you sign up for December bingo? We were beginning to think that our November bingo was NEVER gonna end. It came down to the very last day and so many people were so close to winning…but Meesh was the first to bingo and will be receiving a package of cool Fall/Thanksgiving themed loot soon. WTG, Meesh!!

Did you sign up for Secret Santa? Elmira, Buddy, and Roxy have all been having their fun with the secret messages and the teasing. But it’s almost time for the packages to go out and the secret identities to be revealed. Sooooo exciting…can’t WAIT to find out!

Time for Resident of the Month:

When I got ready to write this, I decided to take a quick peek at this gal’s blog. I’ve lurked there before, but it had been a while. And just as before…I caught myself grinning the entire time. I’ve never met her, but just KNOW she would be a lot of fun in person. She is energetic and bubbly. She’s organized (even has a self-proclaimed list obsession) but is spontaneous too. She knows how to enjoy herself and you can tell that she really loves her life. Her personality really shows thru…on her blog, her posts here on the boards, and her layouts and creative projects. I love to hear stories about her silly adventures and to see all her fun pics. We are very happy to call her one of our own. So please take some time out to let Amber know how much we appreciate her here on the streets. Scrapstreet loves ya, Amber!!

Time for Jakey's Corner:

Hiya, Scrapstreet gang!

November wasn’t nearly as good a month as October was. All the pookies went away for some reason. Not so much as a single vampotter around Wal-Mart anymore…*sigh*. But it looks like December is gonna be better. Now the stores have Santa stuff everywhere. Ok…so Santa isn’t quite as good as pookies…but I hear he brings us presents if we’re good so don’t tell him I said that, ok?

And speaking of presents…a big, BIG brown truck came to Aunt Woey’s house the other day and brought her some stuff. It must have been scrappy stuff ‘cause she called it “happy mail”. I see those big trucks everywhere when we are out shopping or picking up “byebye” burgers. Guess they are all driving around waiting for us to get back to Aunt Woey’s house so they can bring her MORE stuff. *looks around house at piles and piles of scrappy stuff*…ummm…which kinda makes sense now that I think of it. From the looks of all this stuff…she must get trucks coming every day. Pfffft…and she gets on to ME for not picking up my toys…geesh.

She also tells me to be “careful” with my toys and to not break them. But I left for a WEEK and when I came back…all the trees in her yard were broken! Yep…all the leaves were gone. They look pretty bad all naked like that too. Maybe Unkey Cyde can fix ‘em up again.

Think it’s time for me to go now. Aunt Woey has a doughnut and chocolate milk waiting for me…yummy!! See you all next time. Can’t WAIT to see what that Santa guy brings for all of us. *blowing kisses* BYE-BYE!!

Some things we were thankful for in November:

1. That Leigh didn’t get electrocuted when she vacuumed her toilet.

2. That everyone lived thru the Black Friday sales.

3. That Dora lives in a neighborhood that is a never-ending resource for entertaining stories.

4. That you can’t really pass ice cream thru the monitor…felt pretty good about not sharing Lisa’s fishy Eskimo ice cream…ewwwwww!

5. That Dora’s sister was able to slip the canned cranberry in…I sooo loved this story and was rooting for her. Can’t wait to hear how she sneaks it in next year!

6. That Mireille got to taste a Reese cup. I just thought that was the CUTEST story!!

7. That David asked a girl to the dance and she said YES!! Will be fun to see how this unfolds….exciting!! Errr…especially since it’s happening to Meesh and not to me…heehee.

8. And the biggest thing we were thankful for was Scrapstreet itself…our very own corner of the earth where we can chat and rant and roll our eyes and celebrate our achievements and feel better about our failures…and most of all…giggle and have fun with our very dear friends.

Guess that’s all for this time. Hoping you all have a VERY Merry Christmas and wishing you and your families lots of joy, peace and love this holiday season.

‘Til next time…cya on the streets!!
