Welcome to Discovery Drive, Nicole! What a fun ride this month with a fun, friendly and über-talented gal! We just love her work – whether it be boys, girls, or “me” pages! Her clean lines, simple look and clustered style just can’t be as easy as it looks; it’s achieved by obvious hard work, particular selection and placement of photos and embellishments, and lots and lots of layers - not to mention particularly bright and perfect color preferences. Nicole, it was a fun ride this month. Congratulations, your work is stunning!

Design notes: I gave my title some
interest by adding label stickers behind
some of the words. I also highlighted my
ghost heart by lightly painting the edges.
In addition, I used rub-on stitches to give
my white cardstock a "sewn" look.
Journaling: you and your sister's Gameboy - Summer 2007

G.N.O. by Nicole Eshelman. Supplies:
Paper: 7Gypsies, Cardstock: Bazzill, Chipboard letters, ghost heart and flower bling: Heidi Swapp, Paint: Making Memories, Journaling block: Luxe Designs, Rub-on: Hambly
Studios, Arrow sticker, flower: Daisy D's.
Journaling:
August 2007 You and me on our way to
see "Annie" at the Music Circus with grandma
and grandpa. You loved every minute of the
show. Girls’ night out for us!
Design notes:
I kept this layout very simple since
the patterned paper was very busy. I used
the rub-on down the center of my patterned
paper block to give some division between my
photo and journaling. I also added a small
cluster of embellishments to finish off this
simple look!

Crazy by Nicole Eshelman. Supplies:
Paper, flowers: Scenic Route, Cardstock:
Bazzill, Chipboard letters: Heidi Swapp,
Paint: Making Memories, Chipboard: Zsiage,
Brads: American Crafts, Circle: Waste Not
Paper, Transparency: Hambly, Other: Staples
and puffy star.
Journaling:
Ashlyn, you are my crazy girl - no doubt
about it. Crazy fun, crazy hyper, crazy
smart, crazy cute, crazy for daddy, mommy
and Cooper, crazy for school...just plain
CRAZY.
Design notes:
I love to cut elements out of patterned
paper...just like the flowers I used in this
layout! I painted the scalloped chipboard
circle to complement my color scheme and it
gave added interest to my title...one of the
things I love to do!!

Design notes: Some more fun title work - added some bling to my title for spark! I also cut the birds out of a Hambly transparency to fit my needs. I love layers!!! Lots of layers here with my photos, journaling tags and even my flower peeking out from the side. Fun to look at!!!
Journaling: Lucky to be your mom, lucky to be able to stay home with you, lucky that you love each other so much, lucky that you get along with each other most of the time, lucky to have each other, just plain LUCKY. Sept. 2007 |

About the designer
Hi there! My name is Nicole and I have been scrapping for about six years now, but really focused on it this past year since I became a SAHM. I am a former corporate Human Resources professional turned SAHM. I wouldn't have it any other way. I am momma to Ashlyn (age 7) and Cooper (age 2 1/2). I am also wife to my hubby of ten years, Tim. I primarily scrap my family, mostly the kiddos as they are constantly in front of the camera. I love to capture the everyday moments...these are the most special to me. I LOVE "white-space" and you will rarely see a layout from me without it! I love for my layouts to look clean, but bright. I am thrilled at this opportunity to be showcased in ScrapStreet Magazine!
