Going Places

 Dora Phillips

Each month, ScrapStreet travels to a new street taking inspiration from that particular location.  We learn a bit about our stop and try to infuse that knowledge and attitude in our creations.  The five monthly challenges encourage us to shake up our scrapping, trying new techniques, themes, and altered items as well as cards and color combinations.  Travel along with us as we spend November enjoying:

Plymouth, Massachusetts

Our travels take us back to the home of the very first Thanksgiving.  A time in our history when friendship and generosity established a tradition that would last for generations.

The Challenges

Color

We pair rust and gold with blue, pink, and other warm, but bright colors this month.

Card

Stock up on those thank you cards this month—before the holiday season and be prepared for all your special moments.

Theme

Something old, something new. As we look at the original Thanksgiving and prepare for our own, think about all of the other old/new combinations we could be scrapping. Do you have a picture of your first birthday and your child’s? What about a side by side layout? What about your first car and your current one? So many options . . .

Technique

Hand-written journaling takes center stage as our technique this month. For those of not ready to actually take pen to paper, come learn how to make your handwriting into a computer font with our spotlight class this month.

Altered item

Make something for your table or as a hostess gift this month.
