 Katey Green

November already, the weather for most of us in the Northern Hemisphere is turning colder and darker, with thoughts turning to sitting in the warm with a cozy lamp and warm fire, preparing for the festivities to come. The time of year to begin thinking about the loved ones in our lives and how thankful we are to have them. My grandmother always told me to count my blessings, which I guess is being thankful and looking for the good in our lives. Being thankful is our theme this month in honor of Thanksgiving, so let's see what our designers came up with using this month's Ditigal freebie - Falling Into Fun by Janneke Smit.

Design note: I am thankful for my children for they keep me young! Cropping the photo this way adds extra emphasis to the photo.

Journaling: My lil pumpkins aren't so little anymore.

Mommas Lovie by Michelle Boeckermann. Supplies: Digital kit Falling into Fun by Janneke Smit, Labels: Label maker @ Atomic Cupcake, Scallop Template: Atomic Cupcake.

Journaling: Soft Ears, Runs off, Helps Tucker with Burrs, Snuggles at night, Loves to play with Squeaky.

Editor Notes: Those label maker words add so much definition to the layout along with the 3 close up photos, sometimes it is as simple as an embellishment like this to make a layout stand out.

Design note: I decided to use circles that were not "perfect circles". I love the look of these on paper...and I decided to give them a try on my digi layout.

So Blessed by Jennifer Wuthrich. Supplies: Digital kit Falling Into Fun by Janneke Smit, Font: Calibri.
