TaDa Creative Studios

This month our designers were pleased to work the beautiful products from TaDa Creative Studios.  Each of us received a different line, and set out happily creating.  As the designers turned in their creations, I was in awe with just how beautiful each TaDa line was and how they made each project unique.  The overall response that was echoed was just how easy their projects came together with TaDa products, and I could not agree more.

Design notes: The Tee Hee Hee line was really easy to work with.  Each of the pieces mixed and matched with each other very well, which makes it really easy to use every scrap of paper. I also enjoyed the theme look and feel of the papers.  This really makes it easy to tell the story without having to clutter the page.

3 for Tea by Jennifer Wuthrich.  Supplies: Paper: TaDa Creative Studios (Tee Hee Hee line), Chipboard: American Crafts, Punch: Martha Stewart, Buttons: BasicGrey, Rub-ons: Doodlebug, Font: Susie’s Hand, Tools: Cricut Expression, Dreams Come True Cartridge, Other: floss.

Journaling: Today you wanted to have a tea party and invite some friends over.  That didn’t work out so you ended up settling for your brothers.  After much negotiation you were able to convince them to dress up and join you for tea.  April 2009

Design notes: I love the swirls on the patterned paper.  I was inspired to use them as a main design element.  I hand cut two of the swirls from a different sheet of patterned paper and used them to add dimension to my layout.

Bright Eyes by Stacey Michaud.  Supplies:  Paper:  TaDa Creative Studios, Alphabet: American Crafts, Buttons:  Making Memories.

Journaling:  Nathan-Those eyes produce smiles, help build connections, and make others feel at ease.  Those eyes will break hearts.  Those eyes, you got from Daddy. Lucky you.

Design notes: Several of the papers in this series had a mix of a solid, a patterned curve, and another patterned paper on the other side of the curve, all together on a single sheet of 12x12 paper.  I used one of the solid and curve combos to “hug” the side of my son’s photo, and used it as a guide for cutting the left edge of the photo.

Crash by Janice Badger.  Supplies:  Paper: TaDa Creative Studios, Rub-ons: My Mind’s Eye, Chipboard Letters: Pressed Petals, Bubble stickers: Colorbök, Glitter: Ranger, Punch: Fiskars, Pen: American Crafts, Tool: BasicGrey Rub-On Tool, Font: Graphite Lite ATT, Other:  cardstock, thread, sewing machine.

Journaling:  About 20 minutes into the soccer game you said you weren’t feeling well and didn’t want to play, just wanted me to hold you.  I took you back to the van to wait for Matthew and Daddy.  You fell asleep in less than 5 minutes, and though you didn’t feel feverish, as we waited I noticed how pink your ears were - generally a sign of a fever with you.  Sure enough, you were 102 by the time we got home.  Luckily it didn’t last long, and you were fine by the next day.  3.14.09
