Just One

 Dora Phillips

What will inspire you to pick just one color?  Do you want to document your (or someone else's) obsession with one hue?  Or perhaps just take it as a challenge to push you to a new area of scrapping?  Is there a color that you never scrap with that would make it a super challenge?

Head over to that scrap surface and dig in!  You may just find that you can make one color really sing.

Design notes: I used the black and white partial key of Picasa so that only my daughter's swimsuit would be pink.  Try it out!

Fun by Michele Beck.  Supplies:  Paper:  Momento, Bazzill, Chipboard:  American Crafts, Fancy Pants, Brads:  American Crafts, Flowers:  Prima, Heidi Swapp,  Crystals & Ribbons:  Prima, Journal Tag:  Making Memories, Stickles:  Ranger, Other:  Paint.

Journaling: This summer we used the lake near us a lot.  Melanie had her small ritual--she was running toward me and then, just like that, she left again and went to the lake!  This was really too funny.

Journaling: Spring makes its own statement, so loud and clear that the gardener seems to be only one of the instruments, not the composer. ~Geoffrey B. Charlesworth and, "The color orange, It is the color of the sunrise and sunset, It is the warmth of a May day, Joy and love unbounded.

Spring Time by Victoria Warren-Mears. Supplies: Software: Phototshop Elements, Paper: Amber Amore, Buttons: Button Factory (orange), Flowers, Swirls & Journaling Spot: Grateful Bounty Kit, all found at BWScrapbooking.com, Font: Louisanne (title) and Arial (journaling).

Design notes: I chose the these vivid colors of blue because they are so peaceful yet passionate. The close up of Brenden's face tells you the determination and passion he has for all things in his life. I added several patterned papers as layers/masks to the frame template. The "Adore" word art was re-colored in Photoshop Elements 6.0 to match my color scheme.

Adore by Yvette Farrell. Digital Supplies: Color Theory in Blue by Mish Bowley; Flourish Word Art by Rhonna Farrer; Template by SSW_Radiation_Template at Sunshine Studio Scraps. PSE 6.0.

Journaling: Brenden is sunshine for my soul!! He is trying to climb the tree in the back yard. A terrific warm & sunny day in February! (2009).
