Michelle McClung

I’ve discovered the world of on- line crops. The challenges really put my creativity to the test while I scrap at my own pace in my home. Works great because I can still chat with my friends, play some games but keep my focus on my scrapping.

The sketches this month were created for our National Scrap Booking Day Crop, here at ScrapStreet. I invited everyone to take a look at the possibilities of the sketches and be inspired. Grab a look for yourself at some of the creative takes on the sketches and join us for some scrapping fun at our next on-line crop.

Design notes:  I changed the sketch a little by replacing the patterned paper block in the sketch with an additional photo, and enlarging the paper behind the main photo. After designing my page I decided to move the whole photo block to the left to create a better balance.

Waiting by Janneke Smit.  Digital Supplies:  Paper, Ribbon: She's Full of Scrap Designs, Paper: Kristin Aagard Designs, Bird: Mad Scrapper Designs, Flower and Button: Sarah B Designs (all from the Retro Spring Collaboration blog train digital kit), Staple: Zoe Pearn Designs (Sweet Shoppe Designs), Font: Script MT Bold, Software: Adobe Photoshop CS3.

Journaling:  ... for the water to warm up.

Design note:  In order to spruce up the red border, I folded over portions of the ribbon and then hand stitched it down.

Is it time to Decorate Eggs? by Diana Brodeur.  Digital Supplies:  Circle, Flowers: 4 the Love of Scrap by Amy Wolff Designs (The-Lilypad).  Supplies:  Paper: GCD Studios, We R Memory Keepers, Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper, Letters, Buttons: Making Memories, Rub-on: My Little Yellow Bicycle, Border Punch: Martha Stewart, Font: Dear Joe 5 Casual, Floss: DMC, Other: ribbon.

Journaling:  One of your favorite things about Easter is getting to decorate the eggs. April 2009

Design note:  I used the same pink papers and a single line stamp on the inside.

Let’s Get Together by Regina Jones.  Supplies:  Paper: BasicGrey, Chipboard: American Crafts, Flower: Prima Marketing, Stamps: Inique Boutique, Studio G, Ink: Ranger, Clearsnap.

Editor’s note:  I love the choice that Regina made for the borders. Instead of paper strips, she used an ornate stamp. Thinking out of the box truly makes projects unique and appealing.
