Happy July, friends!
Are you celebrating all
the fabulous moments of summer? I am doing
my absolute best to remember that "life is in
the details" as I spend my first summer
completely at home with my kids. It is
amazing how many little items they find and will
show me--if only I am there to see them. I
have oohed and ahhed over bugs, flowers, rocks,
and so many more items that my older, jaded self
would not have seen. Each possessed a
beauty that shone in the eyes of a child who
still sees the miracles in the littlest items.
What a gift it is for me to be able to stop and
see the world through their eyes.
As I head to the
scrap table with an eye for detail and a slower
summer pace, I find my scrapping has taken on a
new joy. Instead of racing against
deadlines, I am enjoying the process again.
I have also found a new love for cards--small
little bundles of love to be sent to friends and
family. Take a peek at the fun details on
my monster card below. I am in love with
that little monster!
What is it that
summer brings to your scrapping? Is it
bold and bright colors? Perhaps it is the
layered texture of a garden in full bloom?
Maybe it is a bit of sparkle just like the snow
cone you could not resist at the local fair?
Take a day and look for a few little details and
then head into your scrap space and see how you
transfer summer to the page. I bet you
will love the details as much as I am!
