Meeting Trisha Ladouceur

I didn’t have much time to scrap the last couple of months, nor did I have time to visit a lot of Scrap Events due to personal circumstances. Sometimes life just gets in the way, but let me tell you when you are trying to get back on your feet there is nothing better than some great scrap therapy!
On a beautiful Friday evening I went to my local scrapbook store. There was a workshop with Trisha Ladouceur.
Trisha is a scrapbookdesigner from Edmonton, Canada.
She is a Prima Donna, an educator for My Mind’s Eye, a Crop and Cruise Instructor and she is on the Tattered Angels Design Team.
She is the product designer (together with Michelle van Etten) for the clear scrapbooks and embellishments being manufactured by Prima Marketing, Inc
under the name
fire and ice designs.
I love to work with the build a books and I love prima in general so I looked forward to this evening for a long time.
I had the pleasure of meeting Michelle at the last Scrap-a-ganza and now I could “spend the evening” with Trisha.
When I got to the LSS everybody was still having dinner in the restaurant across the street so I sat with the group for a while and chatted before class started.
After a cup of coffee we went to Carla’s store and got ready for class. I found out my best friend's neighbor was taking the class, too.
We met a few times before so I found someone to talk to right away.
On our desk was the beautiful class kit with such pretty goodies that I couldn’t resist. I had to open it right away. Pretty bling, tons of flowers, butterflies, flocked paper, embroidered prima specialty paper…
I felt like I was in heaven.
The bad thing was Trisha did her best to put everything in the perfect order inside so when we would start creating we could go without looking for all our stuff.. and which paper goes where.
Needless to say I messed it all up.
It didn’t matter too much.
Trisha was a great instructor and walked us through the project with great ease. She was relaxed and funny and she made completing the project possible even if you messed up your supplies.
I visited Edmonton a few years ago and since Trisha lives there I got to talk a little bit about my trip there. Great memories about visiting world’s largest mall that actually has a rollercoaster inside.
Trisha talked a bit about her teaching on the cruises, her time in Holland and she gave away some great goodies. (I actually won a package of beautiful prima paper.)

It was super fun to put together this beautiful album together.

I learned some great new techniques and had a wonderful evening.
