Wowzers! It’s been another wild ride on ScrapStreet this month. It’s hard to find a place to start. The month of June started off in a whirlwind of proms, parties, graduations, and even a destination wedding.

June came blustering in, literally, howling with thunderstorms, whipping with windstorms and sizzling with heat storms across the country. And the month blustered out with the same intensity.

June was also a month of changing families. Casper’s welcomed a new member of their family with open arms, Phillips increased for crew by 2 for 6 weeks, Broekermann’s sent one to visit family for a few weeks, and as usual, the Burdeshaw’s revolving door was spinning like a top! But it’s all good for these gals. Family is what makes a home, home.

We realized just how fast our babies grow into boisterous toddlers. Our toddlers turned into independent-seeking kiddos. The kiddos turned into boundary-testing pre-teens. And the pre-teens turned into freedom hungry teenagers. Where does the time go, and time seems to go by even faster as we share pictures, videos and youtube files of our babies growing up and marking milestones! Our little girls in pigtails now sporting up-do’s. Our Daddy’s Little Girls, now being heartbroken over teen boy drama.

The soaring temperatures came with pool openings and bar-b-ques. One of the ScrapStreet pools may have started with a hint of green color, but with a ton of hard work and perseverance the green succumbed to a beautiful blue that the whole family enjoyed! And in one community the private pool opening was welcomed with old fan’s looking forward to getting back into the pool groove.

The monthly crop went to Pasadenda, California for the Chalk Festival. Crop Master Lori set us up with a ton of awesome challenges, really fun games and SS sister Lisa even got to attend the real live festival with her family! All the gals created some great layouts, awesome cards and had fun with the silly games. The winner, KT Green received a fun digi kit!

Bingo was a hoot this month. Celebrating everything imaginable from birthday parties to International Clothesline Week to National Holistic Pet Day! Yes, all of the celebrations were legitimate days to celebrate. The girls got some giggles and even learned something new. And after a switch-up of word lists, and a bit of fun confusion, Janneke yelled “BINGO!” first and claimed the prize. And because she was working unknowingly from Linda’s list, Linda is going to get a little treat of her own mailed to her as well!

So now July is looming over us with promises of fireworks, family picnics, trips to the beach and pools, and for a few of us here at ScrapStreet it means a reunion at the CHA Summer Show in Orlando, Florida. We can only wait and wonder what else the month of July will hold for us.
