ClearScraps

When I think of acrylic albums, Clear Scraps is the company that definitely comes to mind.  So imagine our excitement when we found that we would be honored to work with their products!

Clear Scraps, clearly (pun intended) has a strong hold on the market when it comes to innovative and cutting-edge trends with acrylic and chipboard albums.  With the help of their design team, they try to stay on top of current trends so that they can continue to offer the hottest products on the market.

Butterfly Sign by Stacey Michaud.  Supplies:  Acrylic:  Clear Scraps (Banners), Paper:  BasicGrey, Cardstock:  Bazzill Basics Paper, Trim:  Joann's Etc., Letter Sticker:  Little Yellow Bicycle, Other:  wooden block, jewelry wire, paint, buttons.

Design notes:I wanted to do something unique with the banner pieces from Clear Scraps.  Since my daughter has a butterfly theme in her bedroom, I immediately thought of using four banners to create the wings of a butterfly.  The acrylic banners bend easily without snapping.  I bent them at the base of the wood so that it resembles a butterfly that is sitting.  I had a blast making this project and my daughter loves that it is hanging on the mirror in her room!

Design notes: When I saw this little purse shape I knew it would make an adorable tag!  This came together really fast by combining the chipboard with acrylic and stamping on the top to add interest.

For You Tag by Jennifer Wuthrich.  Supplies: Chipboard and Acrylic: Clear Scraps (Purse & Shoe), Ribbons: American Crafts, Bling: Heidi Swapp, Ink: Tsukineko, Stamp: Hero Arts, Stickers: Sweetwater Scrapbook.

Design notes: Although I love playing with all things clear, I wanted to see what would happen if I added a bit of dimension to the pages.  I selected a stamp and grabbed my Versamark ink.  I stamped, sprinkled embossing powder, and heated it all up.  And almost had a heart attack as the pages curled in a hurry.  I heated them again and pressed them flat, loving the raised, but subtle stamped texture.  It is not a technique for the fainthearted, but it gives such a cool dimension.

Perfect Day Mini by Dora Phillips.  Supplies: Album: Clear Scraps, Paper: Around The Block, Bling: Heidi Swapp, Rub-Ons:  Sweetwater, Kaiser, Ink: Tsukineko, Other: ribbon, embossing powder.
