Dreamgirls
I can’t
hear the words “dream girls” without instantly
remembering the recent film based upon the story
of The Supremes. The part of the movie when
Beyonce and the other ladies come out on stage
singing, “We’re your dream girls,” pops into my
head. They are all glammed up, wearing their
sparkly dresses while dancing in perfect
synchronization. You can just feel their
presence. Well, there is another group of
Dreamgirls making noise in the scrapbooking
world thanks to their fabulous challenge blog!
These ladies have a sense of style and presence
all of their own!
Their mission seems simple, yet is far-reaching
and important. They post challenges that are
meant to inspire and motivate each scrapbook
artist to create. What separates this group
from others is the way that they go about this
task. The team over at
Dreamgirls like to mix
it up, posting challenges that involve different
techniques, products and topics. You never know
what you are going to get when you click the
mouse and head over to the site. But you do
know it will be something great.
Recent challenges involved using an edgy
advertisement as your inspiration. During a
different week, participants were encouraged to
follow a recipe challenge by using clear acyrlic
and the word “you.” Their latest post dares you
to use lyrics from the song, Time After Time
by Cindy Lauper along with a clock. Check out
the dreamy layouts below for some awesome
interpretations.

What being a part of this team means to
you: Being a Dream Girl is awesome! Our
challenges are always inspiring and fresh

have been a Dream Girl since the blog
started and I am very proud to be so. We
have a forum too, which is great as we can
all chat throughout the month and encourage
one another.
