Okay, let’s
just have some fun!! That’s the first thing I
thought of when meeting Amber’s designs. Want to
see more?
Meet our
newest Digital Discovery! Amber L. Bascovsky!
Digital scrapbooker, designer and artiste
extraordinaire! Amber doesn’t seem to frequently
ask “Why?”. She asks, “Why not?”. Or she doesn’t
ask at all – she just goes forth with the
strength of a colorful pixel storm and scraps
her heart on a page.
Amber’s use
of color stands out the most in her fun,
ever-changing, “scrap-in-the-moment” style. She
uses color to embellish her photos and moments
and isn’t afraid to step out of the box and use
different styles as she creates along. While
we’re talking about creating, I happen to know
that Amber has some fun freebies on her blog –
be sure to check her out!
Congratulations, Amber – we’re proud to know
you. You, your family and your deployed brother
are in our thoughts and prayers. Keep
scrapbooking close to your heart as art therapy
– you do it well and it makes so many others
happy at the same time.

Editor’s Note: Use large, layered
shapes to draw the viewer’s focus in to a
quick, quiet or intimate moment in your
photo as Amber has done here.

Journaling: The men in my family have
been serving our country for generations. In
august 2007, my younger brother enlisted and
just deployed to Afghanistan on March 4th 2009.
Editor’s Note: Going monochromatic can
really heighten the effect of certain topics.
Military is one such example. |
Uncle Mark is My Hero by Amber L. Bascovsky.
Digital Supplies: My Hero mini-kit by Tony's
Mama Designs, Font: Kids from my PSPS 12.
Journaling: Not all heroes wear capes,
mine wears combat boots. (additional note:
Our nephew is so proud and loves that his uncle
rides up in the sky in airplanes!
Editor’s note: The comic book-like feel
of this page is a super creative way to lay out
a page. Try this theme or a similar one yourself
– don’t be afraid to try new styles. |
 |

Editor’s Note: Use layers to promote
depth, as is started in Amber’s photo. After
that, try a whimsical background just to add
some fun!

Journaling: It amazes me how big my
nephew is getting!
My
name is Amber Bascovsky (designing under the
name digidesigns by amberbaz.) I am 24 and
live in Southern Minnesota. Scrapping has
been a hobby of mine for years but my cousin
introduced me to digital scrapping a little
over a year ago and I haven’t touched paper
since! I started designing my own kits
shortly after that and finally got accepted
into two stores this fall. Scrapping is
great but my true love is photography. My
dream job would be getting paid to take
pictures and talk about Jesus. Take a
look at my
blog. My designs can be found
here and
here.
