Just Create

  Terry McAuliffe

What do you do when motivation strikes, creativity flows, color cravings abound, and that desire to hold the newest papers in your hands, that subtle urge to pick up those scissors, overcomes you? JUST CREATE! We have all done it! We all do it all the time! Sometimes simply putting together a cute, simple card will help stave off the craving. Other times, altering a simple item into a unique, one-of-a-kind art treasure is the only way to release the beast!

Journaling:  Twilight, a brilliant series, exciting, a journey that you will never forget. This is a must read! Once you start, you will not be able to stop yourself!

Editor's note: I love how Beth used bits and pieces left over from her supply stash and created a layout that appears completely coordinated and seamless.

Competition by Beth Root.   Supplies: Paper, Die cut sticker: Scrappin’ Sports & More, Gem Accents: Prima, Acrylic Star, Clock: Heidi Swapp, Chipboard: Magistical Memories, Ink: Martha Stewart.

Owen’s First Year by Heather Lough.  Supplies: Paper: Dream Street Papers, Chipboard album: Maya Road, Ric Rac: May Arts, Brads: Scrap Arts, Rub-ons: Scenic Route, Paint: Making Memories, Other: button.

Designer note: I did a very simple mini album to document the photo I took for each month of my son's first year. I just kept this very basic, with some coordinating patterned papers, minimal embellishments and a few rub-on words.
