Scrapbook Mate’s Retailers Weekend

Part 2

We didn’t get much sleep, so it was very early when the alarm clock rang. There wasn’t any coffee so it was kind of a hard start to the day. Luckily, in the warehouse was coffee, so we sat for a while and built up a great internal coffee level. Can’t start a long day without coffee!!!

There was still much preparing to do! I worked some more on my album and when it was finished I started cutting paper for the kits. Pretty weird to cut up large piles of paper with huge tools. I am not really used to these kinds of amounts and these sizes of tools. It was mega fun; however, especially trying to figure it out. ( I am not really fast with figuring stuff out!)

I spent a good while downstairs going through the sales corner trying to find some “old and weird” stuff. I was thinking of teaching something with old supplies giving it a new look! I managed to find some Kreinik Iron-ons and Magic Scraps to decorate the poinsettias and leaves.  Here they are:

I thought it was a pretty sight, this big pile of kits. While I was having fun kitting, Emma was so sweet to build up the stands.  She did a great job working on my stand.

It was so much fun seeing all the pretty stands and it made such a great place for the make and takes. In the afternoon Fanny (the French girl) arrived and a little later Kirs from Holland and Michelle and Rachel from England came too. It was so fun being with such a large group!

We yapped and scrapped and built until dinner time. Then we went to Heidi’s house again for again a fantastic meal. In the evening we went back finishing the last part of our workshops and make and takes. Everything had to be ready for Sunday, the big day.

We talked and scrapped and laughed and at the end we had big, big fun shopping. Image all these girls running around with shopping carts in this big warehouse in the middle of the night. We were like kids in a candy store... totally hyper and happy. We went back to the hotel and tried not to talk too long, get a little bit of sleep. It was a nice try. Guess it’s hard when online friends meet up in real life.
