Clocks have long held a unique fascination for
me. The hypnotic tick-tock gently lulled me to
sleep as a child and the hourly gong of my
grandmother’s clock is a soothing reminder of
days gone by. This month's Unique Boutique is
filled with clocks. Clocks that chime, cuckoo,
tick-tock and blink. Clocks with Roman numerals
and clocks with numbers, some clocks that have
no measurement of minutes or hours at all.
Clocks, like the time they keep, are a constant
in all of our lives. We live by them, we play
by them, we grow by them, we grieve by them.
They seem to report time passing in a blink of
an eye as well as time that seems to drag on and
on.

The inspiration that was drawn from the Unique
Boutique clocks vary as much as the clocks
themselves. Lynda pulled the clock face as an
embellishment in her lovely layout, Santa Baby.
Jenn felt inspiration pulling her in several
directions resulting in a lovely layout
entitled, Yesterday.

Design
notes:
I covered the front of the
chipboard bird with scraps from another
piece of Websters Pages patterned paper,
trimming it to cover enough, but let the
white shiny coating still show. I created
the branch and little flowers the bird sits
upon using the Home Décor cartridge from
Provo Craft.

Design
notes:
I pulled
my inspiration from the clock with the large
numbers and white background. It started
with me trying to mimic the numbers with my
photos. But that didn't work like I wanted
so I drew my inspiration from the colors and
'time' itself. One look at my kids and I
wonder where time went. It seems like
yesterday they were as small as my little
one so I went with that.

Journaling:
I can hardly believe you kids are
growing up so quickly, it seems like
yesterday you were still my babies! As you
get older I will hold on to those yesterdays
and no matter how old you get, you will
always be my babies.

Journaling:
The bus is never exactly on time so we end
up with a few minutes of waiting time.
We are trying to find some fun games to play
in the cold and snow.
