We all know the traditional "Button, Button, Who’s Got the Button" game. Where you sit in a circle and have a button secretly placed in your hand by the “leader” and have the other children guess who has the button.

I remember when I was little my mom had a couple jars full of old odds and ends buttons. I enjoyed sitting down on the floor, dumping them out and trying to match them. I would sit for hours playing with the button jars. After I got married, I started a button jar and would add to it whenever I found a button.

Once I started scrapbooking, I was able to pull my jar out and add the buttons to my layouts. Either to the middle of a flower, the dot of an “I”, or just placed randomly around my pages. Now you can find all kinds of colors, shapes, sizes and themes of buttons in the scrapbooking section. With my love of buttons, I went a little overboard and bought a packet every time I went to a scrapbooking store. Storing them can be a problem. Here are a couple ideas to get you started.
