Inspired Blueprints

Back to our questions along with more eye-candy from the Inspired Blueprints team!

3. How do you encourage involvement from the scrapbooking community?

Our sketches are released on the 1st and 15th of each month without fail, so our members can rely on us for inspirational sketches and design team examples each fortnight. We draw two random prize winners each month; everyone has a chance to win a fabulous prize from one of our generous sponsors. We also showcase a few of our favorites each month on our blog. Our community is free to join and everyone is welcome. There are currently over 3,000 layouts and cards shared in our gallery by the design team and community members. We have strived to create a positive and friendly environment where scrapbookers and cardmakers can share their work without fear of judgment. We truly appreciate and admire every project uploaded to the gallery. Inspired Blueprints' popularity is reflected in the number of referrals we have from people's blogs ... our community grows bigger everyday. We are so honored that over 1,500 people have joined us so far.

4. Which challenge or post has generated the biggest buzz or a surprising response?

The sketches that generate the most buzz are those that feature multiple photos or 6x4 standard sized photos. Everyone has photos tucked away in their drawers or old albums they can use. We often get multiple submissions from participants because the sketches are so versatile. Sketch 39 which was released on January 1, 2010 has been very popular so far! One of the most surprising things about Inspired Blueprints is where our members come from ... scrapbooking is a well-loved craft worldwide! Language is no barrier when it comes to our sketches.

What being a part of this team means to you: I love being a part of this team. I love sketches and challenges, and I love to have a deadline that gives me a push in the right direction. I started scrapbooking in the fall of 2008 and discovered Inspired Blueprints soon after. The first layout I ever uploaded was for IB and for a long time it was the only place I uploaded my work. Imagine my surprise when I had a mail from Anne Marie in February 2009 asking me to be a guest designer!

I believe a sketch is a good starting point in creating layouts and Inspired Blueprints has the most amazing sketches. Being around a super talented group of ladies is an equaling wonderful opportunity. I hope I am able to inspire others as much as others have inspired me.
