trans•par•ent \tran(t)s-‘per-ent\, adjective 1: having the property of transmitting light without appreciable scattering so that bodies lying beyond are seen clearly, 2: fine or sheer enough to be seen through.
Each month, our pit crew is given a product to play with, review and create with. This month, we received clear acrylic albums made by Pageframe Designs. And, as you’ll see when you read the design notes, most of us sat and stared – in awe and fear – at those albums for a bit before taking deep breaths and getting started. And do you know what? Once we got past the fear and got going, the transparent background became exciting and stimulating for all of us! As you look through these albums, you just can’t resist peeking through the acrylic page to the next page to get a hint of what’s coming.

note:
Simple, fun almost magical describes this
album. The clear view plays an exciting part
to the creation for her children.

note:
OK, so my first reaction to receiving this
album was FEAR! But as I began thinking
about what to do with it, I got excited.
The album came with four tabbed dividers, so
I knew right away it would be perfect for a
4-day trip my family took to DisneyWorld.
To make things a bit easier on myself, I
used black, red or pale yellow cardstock and
papers throughout the album - I pulled my
color choices from the stamped image of
Mickey! All of the pictures were sized and
printed at home, then edged with black ink
to give them some definition against the
acrylic background. One of the most fun
things as I created this album was getting
the glimpse of the coming pages through the
clear background - and my kids really like
that part too!

Design
note: I was so excited about getting started on this album, after sitting for a couple of days looking at it I was a little scared. But after thinking about all the fun things I can use I jumped right in and started creating. I had so much fun scrapping this. I can't wait to do another one.

note: I chose to do this as a heritage album for my father. It spans the first 10 years of his life,
with the few pictures I could find of him. I love the fact that I can work on the page by just putting down a 8x8 sheet and keep inside that area, or I can expand and create that pop that catches the eye and leads you to search beyond, wondering what is on the next page. I was extremely nervous to start this, but once I began I found it to be rather easy. I especially chose double sided paper so that anything seen would be decorative.
