Hello my little darlings, Auntie Digi here again back from swanning around after the start to the new Year. I do hope you had a good one. I thought would take a stroll through all the forums here at ScrapStreet and see what sort of digi questions are on peoples’ minds. Now I have been reading about white things, well I’m sure I don’t understand any of it. Digi is as pure as the driven snow. But it does seem to have you girls giggling a lot. So as for that question we will leave well enough alone.
However I did notice a few of you are puzzled over actions for Photoshop, where to load them, how to use them and can they be made by anyone.
Well never fear Digi is here. I thought it would be a good idea if we had a little go at making a very simple one. Now you know when you have downloaded patterns as jpegs and you want to save them to use in Photoshop pattern selector? Well sometimes there are 10-20 patterns that just aren’t there? Time consuming having them all open and one after another going click edit, choose save as pattern preset, close file, repeat, ad nauseum. Well try this…
have open all the files you want to turn into patterns presets
click on actions then on the tiny arrow dropdown list
choose new set (give the set a name)
highlight the new set and then click new action
up comes title action 1 (give it a name, say pattern loader )
click on the box of your new action and then click the blue button at bottom for record.
Next:
Step1 click on 1st pattern, select all,
Step2 edit, save as pattern preset,
Step3 click save
Step4 close file
Repeat these actions up to ten times in total. And then finish recording.
Now take out 10 more patterns or select 10 more areas on different docs that you want to make patterns from and press play. Voila your very first and useful action that will open and make pattern presets of 10 jpegs or pngs, and if you have more then start again on the next lot any number up to 10.
See, ol’ Digi comes up with the goods again. Hoping you all can follow that, now pm me care of bengigirl or lapetite if you want to know more. Don’t forget to put your questions for your program in the forums or ask how to do something specific to your software or scrapping projects and Auntie will help if she can.
Love and smooches to you all ‘til next month,
