Happy September to
you!
Can you smell the
fall in the air yet? I love all of the sensory
experiences that September brings into my world.
The look and feel of brand new school supplies all
packed and ready for that first day make my heart
flutter. The scent of fresh picked apples as I
bake a cobbler after a trip to the orchard fills my
kitchen. The sound of leaves crunching under
my feet as I walk the kids to the park remind me
that the nice days will soon come to an end. I
can taste the change of the season.
When I wander
through the wonderful submissions email, I am most
often caught by the layouts that really capture the
mood of their subject. I love seeing how
artists recreate the senses with words, photos, and
textures. It is so true that some pages call
for ribbon while others scream for ink and aging.
And how some colors are just right for that trip to
the orchard, while others need to go to the beach.
Scrapping depends on those senses to really take our
layouts into that next level.
