Pet Park

Michelle Boeckermann

Looking for the perfect gift this holiday season? How about treat jars for your pet, or even for friends' and neighbors' pets. With a tiny bit of time and some cute papers, a few die cuts or stickers and treats to fill the jars, you will have a perfect little gift sure to please any of your fur-loving recipients.

Design note:

So easy to make...I'm going to make a batch for the neighbor dogs as Christmas gifts. I started with a jar that had in my pantry, used Goo be Gone to get the label off easily, and covered it with papers and other décor. I punched two holes in my chipboard to pull the ribbon through and tied it in a bow.

For the Dogs by Michelle McClung. Supplies: Papers: Glitz, Die Cuts with a View, Chipboard: Technique Tuesday, Rub-ons: Urban Lily, Making Memories, Basic Grey, Ribbon: May Arts, Stickers: Frances Meyer, Making Memories, Pen: Sakura.

Journaling: Have you been you naughty or nice?

Design note:

I created the images in PSE using doodlebats and a pet-inspired font. To make sure that my sticker on the lid would fit, I scanned the lid into PSE and used a cookie cutter shape to create the oval inside of the image. I also added dimension to the little hanging bones by using Diamond Glaze to the top and bottom and letting them hang dry for a few hours.

Woof by Brianne Nevill. Supplies: Paper: Die Cuts with a View, Sticker Paper: Office Depot, Ribbon: Making Memories, CK Puppy Love, Glaze: Diamond Glaze, Other: thread, jar, cookies, Fonts: DB Pet Love (scrapnfonts.com).

Design note:

This box holds all of my kitty's toys.  I painted it black first to match our bedroom and then decorated it.  She really likes the flower and chews on it sometimes.  I like that she cannot open it by herself so she cannot get out all of her toys at one time.

Angel's Box by Allison Phillips.  Supplies:  Paper:  Pink Paislee, Flower & Bling:  Heidi Swapp, Ribbon:  Offray, Box:  Kaiser, Adhesive:  Helmar, Paint:  Folkart.
