I was so overwhelmed by the response to the
sketch contest! My mailbox was full of
wonderful and unique layouts that were based on
my three sketches. I would really like to thank
everyone who took the time to create something
and share their creativity with us. Even to
those who were thinking about doing one (I saw
the posts!), thank you! It really means a lot
to know that people read the column and are
inspired by my sketches.
The names of those that participated were thrown
into a hat and the winner drawn was, Melissa
Bove! Congratulations Melissa! Great layout
and your scrapping goodies are on their way.

Design note:
Layers, flowers, ribbon, lots of stuff on
one page! This sketch will let you
elegantly work your stash!

Sketch #3 by Michelle McClung.

Design note:
For the butterflies, I inked my stamp with
several different colors and then attached
them to the page by placing glue just behind
the body of the butterfly and then pinching
out the wings to make it more realistic. I
placed the sheer ribbon and lace underneath
the leaves and flowers to create the look of
a trellis alongside the photo. I then placed
crystals all around to mimic water
droplets. |

Editor's note:
Aimee kept her flowers around the photo
really light with the exception of a few.
The large flower in the bottom right, the
“Sweet” title, and the bracket journaling
spot creates a subtle triangle that draws
your eye to the photo. Ok, maybe it’s that
incredibly adorable face?
