Going Places

 Dora Phillips

Each month, ScrapStreet travels to a new street, taking inspiration from that particular location.  We learn a bit about our stop and try to infuse that knowledge and attitude in our creations.  The monthly challenges encourage us to shake up our scrapping, trying new techniques, themes, and altered items as well as cards and color combinations.  Travel along with us as we spend November enjoying:

Surin, Thailand

Are you ready to head to the Annual Elephant Round-up in Surin, Thailand?  Every year, visitors arrive by any means possible to celebrate the majestic elephant with games, races, challenges, and food.  These large, but easily domesticated, animals are festooned with decorations made of fabric, ribbon, and paint and then honored publically.

                      The Challenges

Color

Start with a little hint of nature in a woodsy brown or an elephant gray and then go wild with bold and bright colors.  Try a little bit of this and a little bit of that!

Theme

Celebrate nature with us! Whether you head outside for a fall photo shoot or capture a cat nap, look for inspiration in your own natural world.

Card

This month we give thanks for the wonder of elephants. Why not take some time to give thanks for the wonders in our own lives? Make up a few thank you cards and Thanksgiving cards and you will be ready for wonder!

Technique

Shaped cardstock! This month make a layout that is not square. Start with a premade shape or grab your (dare I say deco) scissors and cut your own.
