We decorate our homes with things that make us feel happy and comfortable. What can bring more joy than combining our scrapbooking hobby with home décor? Bring the scrapbooking out from the closed albums on a shelf and in view to be admired by all. With the holidays right around the corner, it’s the perfect time to use the beautiful collections the scrapbooking manufacturers have brought us, for some holiday home décor.
Well coordinated products and embellishments make it fast and easy to create plaques, wreaths, picture frames and ornaments this holiday season. Grab your imagination and take a walk through your local craft store. Check out aisles other than scrapbooking, such as the sections with the wood or papier-mâché pieces. Jars, notebooks, clipboards and foam forms are worth a look too. There are so many wonderful alterable items to put on display for yourself and your guests- even to give as gifts.
Get some inspiration from the beautiful work of our readers below. For even more inspiration, please peruse through the ScrapStreet Holiday Ho-Down gallery for some other great ideas for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas scrapbooking décor.

"Snow" Word Art by Libby Mac Neilly. Supplies:
Papers: Bazzill, Rusty Pickle, Chipboard, Rub-Ons, Buttons: Rusty Pickle, Glitter:
Ranger, Ink: Stewart Superior, Other: eyelets,
ribbon, string.
Design Notes:
This word art is easy and quick to make. I love how you can showcase a
favorite photo in the center of the letter
"O". I punched small circles out of
cardstock and used Rusty Pickle rub on
letters for the "Extreme Fun". When I
applied them to the "O" frame, I used double
stick foam tape to lift some of the letters.

Holiday Canvas by Michelle Boeckermann. Supplies:
Digital Kit: Noel by Traci Ann Designs, Brads: Making Memories, Crackle Medium: Helmar, Acrylic Paint: Junkitz, Glitter Pen: Sakura, T-Shirt Transfer: Avery,
Punch: We R Memory Keepers,
Other: 12X16 artist’s canvas.
Design Notes:
I made my design in Photoshop Elements 4.0 and reversed it for printing on the T-Shirt Transfer. I ironed it onto the canvas with no steam and on the highest setting (this will adhere it enough to work with , but not like on fabric.) I applied the crackle
in a two-step process and waited overnight. Rubbing with a very lightly damp cloth, I applied the cocoa paint in a circular motion. Lighter in some spots, darker in others. I used the Big Bite Crop-a-dile to punch holes for the holly and brads. Finally I used the silver pen to carefully go over the filigree of the design and the outer edge of the holly leaves. I recommend spraying it when done with a clear sealer.
