Katey Green

Our designer Sue Wood has created our free Thanksgiving kit called Gratitude this month.  It is full of glorious autumnal colors with frames, ribbons and tags, so for those of you who do not celebrate Thanksgiving, you too can find plenty of uses for this kit with the winter nights fast approaching. Let’s see what the ScrapStreet Creative Artists thought to do with the kit.

Design note:

The simple things in life are to be grateful for!  I put a gradient over the photo for emphasis with the green turning to orange just as the leaves on the trees do.

Gratitude by Jopke van Dongen.  Supplies: Gratitude by Sue Wood Designs for ScrapStreet.com.

Design note:

Something I love about Sue's kits is that there is so much STUFF in them!! I just love to combine and use every embellishment, medium and color in her kits. This one, Gratitude, is certainly no exception! I loved playing with the ropes and ties, and there were spectacular frames and papers I didn't even get to on this page. This will remain one of my favorite autumn season kits, tried and true!

Pumpkin-Sized McKenna by Lindsey Krauss.  Supplies: Gratitude by Sue Wood Designs for ScrapStreet.com, Font: 2Peas Frazzled.

Journaling: McKenna picks her pumpkin! She and Poppa Mike were the last ones to make it to the pumpkin patch, but McKenna was the first 1 to find her pumpkin. It was bright orange and just the right size for her. From the looks of it, it must’ve been a big job to pick that pumpkin!

Please Promise Me by Helen Hancock.  Supplies: Gratitude by Sue Wood Designs for ScrapStreet.com.

Design note:  The black and white photo really makes a contrast with the papers and elements I used.  The flourish draws the eye to the photo.
