Scrap-a-licious weekend Part 2: Meeting Corinne Delis

And then it was time for my second class. A class I looked out for for such an awful long time. Like I said in last month's issue, Corinne is a very talented lady, an awesome friend and I just couldn’t wait to learn some fun techniques and just be part of this fantastic happening. Corinne Delis designs for American Crafts, Maya Road and Cherry Arte, and is a SIS on SIStv. She designed her own paper line for Cherry Arte and has her own stamps. Corinne is an experienced teacher, and has been published many times by various magazines and idea books. I was so very proud to take a class of Holland’s one and only scrapdiva.

The class itself was mega fun. I played with tons of different media and that was exactly what I was looking for. Lots of paint, ink, tape, transparencies, felt, buttons, crayons, fabric. It was awesome. Unfortunately Corinne was mega sick that day. She had a big cold and lost her voice, so this talkative woman was very very quiet. I have so much respect for her that she still did this class and didn’t cancel it!

I had the chance to listen to her “whisper” for a while and she took this amazing picture of us. I do admire her for being able to take great shots of herself BY herself. The project was called “the many faces of..." but I turned it into a vacation book for Amber. The cover was made from structured wallpaper. I decorated it with ink and it has a part of clear plastic that was decorated with alcohol inks and a Sakura marker.

The first page is a transparency with paint on it, and a Sakura marker was used to journal on it.

The second “page” is a paper bag that come in awesome colors nowadays as you can see. We cut a window in it and put a transparency in the “window. Then there is a piece of cardstock inside that holds the picture and hidden journaling. The tab is colored with crayons.

Page 3 is a transparency with a picture and journaling.

Follow me to the next page to see the rest of the album!
