 Di Hickman

MEN! We all complain about the guys in our lives at some point in our lives (some more than others) but we do love them! Really, we do. And at no time is this more apparent than June, because that’s when we celebrate Father's Day! That’s the day that is purely for the guys in our lives, where they get to put their feet up and do nothing for the day. The day when we tell him how much we love him!

Editor's note: I love the fact that this card incorporates a paint swatch!  The stitching all around really adds a great touch too!

Dad by Kim Hughes. Supplies: Paper: Cosmo Cricket, Pen: Sakura, Buttons: Autumn Leaves, Waxy Flax: Scrapworks, Rub-on: Hambly Screen Prints, Sanding Block: Making Memories, Scalloped Template: Crafter’s Workshopt, Other: machine stitching, paint swatch.

Design note: I love stamping on textured cardstock, it gives a great distressed look to the stamping. My husband said that the circle looks kind of like a soccer ball, which is GREAT because my Dad loves soccer!

Dad by Di Hickman. Supplies: Cardstock: Die Cuts With a View, Paper, Ribbon: Boxer Scrapbook Productions, Stamp: Boxer Scrapbook Productions, Ink: Ranger; Metal Tag: Miss Elizabeth's.

Design note: I created the letters by stamping with Versamark, sprinkling with foil and flocking powder, then heating until sticky. I rubbed metal leaf over the letters, then cut them out. I used StaZon ink and rubbers stamps to dress up my plain ribbon.

Dad by Pomaika`i Miyata. Supplies: Cardstock: Bazzill, Paper: Paper Trunk, Stamps: Inque Boutique, Technique Tuesday, Ink: Tsukineko, Foil/Flocking: Embossing Powder Candy Store, Brads: JoAnns Essentials, Other: eyelets, grosgrain, metal leaf sheets.
