June arrived with all of us here at
Scrapstreet eagerly anticipating the arrival of our newest
Scrapstreet sister. Baby Marissa graced us with her presence on June 9. Welcome to the wonderful world, little one. And I’m please to report that baby, mom and the rest of the family are doing great!
June was a SUPER month on the streets. We never knew when we might run into Superman, Wonder Woman, Spiderman, The Incredible Hulk or even Hello Kitty dressed up as Batman. That’s right we spent the month in the SUPER city of Metropolis. Congratulations, Stacey our SUPER crop winner.
With the end of school, ScrapStreet has opened its all new “Mom’s Lab.” A special place giving everyone a hand at defeating those evil summer-boredom blues! SUPER experiments like Mentos and Coke, a homemade Chia pet, and mitten ice cream were just a few of the fun things shared by veteran moms.
ScrapStreet survived the trauma of moving and upgrading servers; a task that can sometimes be a little hairy. But, in typical
ScrapStreet fashion, we all crossed our fingers, said a few words and hit the switch! And, with the exception of a few very minor glitches, we came through it with flying colors.
There has been a flooding of awesome layouts, cards and altered art in our gallery. It’s simply amazing to me how these ladies can continually and consistently create such high quality artwork. You simply must check it out!
A few June highlights:
*Parallel Life Street Sisters are frequently found on
ScrapStreet.
*White pants are not our friends! In fact, they are dirt and stain magnets!
*If your 8-year-old daughter comes running into the house screaming for the camera – give it to her! You may end up with some amazing photographs!
*A 10-month long school year is really only 7-1/2 months of actual education.
*If you won’t tell your stories, another
ScrapStreet sister will!
*Farmer Pooh Chronicles continue with a bountiful harvest of spicy peppers!
*Forget to take your trash out?
Don’t worry a ScrapStreet sister will be only too happy to remind you.
*A dishwasher takes 3 hours to be installed by a professional
(and the view is not something to brag about during
the installation), but a ScrapStreet sister can do it in 45 minutes!
What’s next for the ScrapStreet sisters? July is the month for relaxing poolside, meeting new friends, and a special chance for a unique gathering of sisters.
We look forward to spending the month in a new location and facing new challenges during the weekly Saturday Night Scraps and the always fun monthly crop weekend. If you haven’t joined us lately, what are you waiting for? Come on over to the streets, put your feet up, and join in some rollicking good times!
