Card Corner

Di Hickman

Happy New Year! I love New Years, probably one of my favorite times of the year. The slate is wiped clean and we can start a fresh. If you're like me you make resolutions or goals for the year ahead. Whilst at the beginning of the year they seem daunting tasks, achieving them is definitely an awesome feeling! What better way to keep you 'on track' towards your goals than receiving a little card from a friend to say they are encouraging you on your journey.

Design note: I originally made this card for a friend who is moving jobs. He loved it! The striped paper draws your eye down the card to the bold sentiment.

Good Luck by Di Hickman. Supplies: Paper: SEI, Cardstock: Die Cuts With a View, Alpha Stickers: Miss Elizabeth’s, Other: Ribbon.

Design note: I love using products in out of ordinary ways! Making that stamp a flower edge and using the metal rimmed tags as center of flower added some dimension. I punched out the vellum centers. I used the paint as my "frame" for the card itself. And the staples as leaves on the ribbon stems.

Hi by Lisa Jamerson. Supplies: Paper: Fancy Pants, Cardstock: Die Cuts with a View, Stamp: 7Gyspies, Tag: Making Memories, Ribbon: Die Cuts with a View, Paint, Rub-ons: Making Memories, Other: stapler.

Design note: The Finery by Tinkering Ink is a wonderful product to work with and so easy to sew onto the card. The little square was perfect for adding the sentiment.

Just a Note by Stephanie Ackerman. Supplies: Paper: Tinkering Ink, Stamp: Studio G, Ink: Ranger, Other: Sewing.
