Weather Outside

Dora Phillips

"The weather outside is frightful . . ." sing my children as they load on layers of boots, hats, scarves, and snow gear.  I shake my head wondering why if they know it is frightful are they so darn cheerful and eager.  But good mom (or is that obsessed scrapbooker) that I am, I climb into boots, grab the camera, and follow them out into the cold.

Sledding and snowmen, angels and eating and then finally I am back inside where it is warm and toasty with a memory card full of lovely pictures and two angels ready for hot chocolate.

Design note: I wanted to keep the layout simple but incorporate different textures. I love how the frames made it simple to add so much style and color.

Getting deep mom by Michelle Boeckermann. Supplies: Digital kit: 2nd Birthday Celebration Collaboration kit "Cottage Chic", font: Lemon Chicken.

Design note: The flower is cut with my Cricut. I inked all the paper edges, including the flower. The large piece of patterned paper has one torn edge.

AAH! by Corey Wagner. Supplies: Cardstock: Bazzill, Paper:  BasicGrey, Rub Ons:  BasicGrey, KI Memories, Stickers:  American Crafts, Button:  Autumn Leaves.

Design note: A little paint can make the perfect title.  Just pencil it in and have fun.

Winter Gear by Cheryl Baase.  Supplies: Paper: BasicGrey, Cardstock: Bazzill, Chipboard Snowflakes: Technique Tuesday, Paint, Brads: Making Memories.
