Ready to meet our digital discovery gal, our first of the year? Meet Lisa Grant – mommy, scrapbooker, designer! Lisa is a super fun gal who is anything if not wonderfully eager! You can tell how big her heart is from chatting with her, reading her journaling and best of all, watching her work!

Lisa has a knack for bringing her subjects to life – quite literally! – on her pages… I just love the way she puts Jack in the spotlight – coming out of the page into our laps! She certainly doesn’t shy away from color, either, as any boy’s mom needs, but her black and whites are just as amazing! You can tell this dedicated mommy loves her boy and loves her hobby! Congratulations, Lisa!

Design notes: I created a layer from my drop shadow and changed it's perspective to create depth.

Journaling: I am "Mommy". I am a healer who can erase all pain. I am a hero and will always protect him because I am invincible and know no fear. I am always beautiful, even at 2:00 in the morning. I have the softest hair (which he can hold onto every hour of the day). I have an endless supply of "pennies", but that doesn't matter because everything is free. Every word that I say is hilarious, as long as at say it with a huge smile on my face. I can sing "Twinkle" better than anybody because I am singing directly to him. But actually, when Jack gives me hugs or when his sweet little voice says, "I love you, Mommy" it gives me the strength to be a healer, a fearless hero, and everything that he sees me to be. I hope he knows how much strength I see in him and I hope that I am always somewhere in that small speck of light in my child's eyes.

Design notes: I took this picture as my camera was slipping out of my hands and the shot was just the top part of his face. I like the clarity of his eyes so much, that I had to scrap it.

Design notes: I spent a lot of time on Google trying to find stats, but honestly just estimated a few - shhh, don't tell.

Design notes: I put a layer mask over the middle photo to hide parts of the picture so that I could extract Jack.

Journaling: I'm two years old and just barely hanging in there. / Jack at Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO. in Sept. 2007.

About the Designer

My husband, Jason, and I have been married for almost 5 years and in 2005 my red-headed son Jack was born. He is the cutest and most awesome child on the planet. He makes me laugh everyday. I am living the same day-to-day housewife life. I get up at 8:00 (yes, my wonderful son sleeps 10 hours a night) and after 5 diapers, 4 meals, 3 temper tantrums, 2 trips outside, 1 nap (for Jack), and 1/2 hour of sitting down at the computer (or a bit more)... I go to bed. I love to take naps, only I never do.

I also love almost frozen IBC cream soda....yum yum. If you ever go to Coldstone Creamery, their cakebatter ice cream is awesome, but if you would rather not waste the money, I have a recipe that tastes the exact same. Butter flavored Crisco makes the softest cookies- PEOPLE, DO NOT OVERBAKE! I love the sound of a piano. I also love to go to church with my hubby and son, and I'm thankful for the desire to be there. I am active in a mommy-baby workout group that I love to go to so I can get out of the house.

I am really into digital scrapbooking and anything Photoshop. I never really did paper scrapbooking- I went right for digital and never looked back. I create most of my own products (which are heavily inspired by others) because I am on a budget and I like to challenge myself. When I do buy other products they only come from Designer Digitals, because the ladies there are great and I love their style. Most of this bio came from my MySpace page- my other obsession- I don't really know why. Thank you for selecting me for this honor. It is nice to have your work noticed by others.
