Shake it, scrap it, and shout it! YAHTZEE! Whatever you do, just don’t miss it! This month our kit club went board game crazy with a fun
Yahtzee-inspired dare. By simply clicking on a link, the kit club delved into the wonderful world of “scrap-by-the-numbers”. Our roll laid out for us exactly what was to be placed on our layout, less our personal style. I can honestly say that we are not “5 of a kind” with each scrapper bringing her own distinct style to the scrap table and doing an outstanding job at it. Follow me to our playing table…
Our first toss and roll gives us some great layouts about “firsts”. Watching a child grow up is never easy and to see them at that first high school dance must tug on any
mother’s heart strings. Michelle shakes that cup and rolls out a beautiful layout about her son’s first dance. As we tumble, our next layout reflects those that are our “first” in our life. Family! Jenn created a beautiful layout of her family while unbelievably meeting the little blocks request! For my personal layout, I chose to try my hand at a two-pager and loved the result. I shook up a layout with my thanks to all those women who mean the most to me.

Journaling:
First- Dance, Girlfriend,
Wearing a Tie, 9th Grade Snowball Dance
January 19th 2008

First by Michelle Boeckermann. Supplies:
Paper, Photo Corner, Journaling tag: October Afternoon, Ribbon Clip: Making Memories, Embossing powder: Gel A tins, Other:
transparency, mini-shaped buttons, ink, velvet
ric rac.
Design note:
My yahtzee roll tallied up to: 1 photo, 4 papers, 4 techniques (hybrid,
paper tearing, inking, embossing), 6 title words (I chose to use different languages to say “First”), 2 shapes (I used small buttons as my shapes (heart, triangle),
and 5 embellishments (photo corner, ribbon clip,
buttons, ribbon, flowers cut out of the paper, making the flowers like a die cut).
I printed the title words
out on a transparency, adding a bit of a
flower to jazz them up and to extend color
to what would have been just a black and
white area otherwise.

Journaling:
I am blessed to be surrounded by strong women in my life. Women who have influenced me to shoot for the stars but to never forget where I launched from. Women who have given me courage to me my own person and to create my own happiness. Women who have taught me to always have faith in God because he has a plan for my life. Women who lead by example and grace. To these women, I say thank you. Thank you for loving me and believing in me. You will always hold a special place in my heart. – Brianne

note:
I ended up rolling 3 pictures, 5
papers, 6 techniques, 5 title words, 1 shape, and 5
embellishments. For the most part, I found using 5 papers and figuring out my title to be the easiest. Normally,
embellishments are the easiest for me but for some reason, I just could not get them to fit right for me at all! I love the final layout and the white space.
I will definitely use the number generator again!
